Mayoral Debate Live Broadcast
In a city like Chicago politics is important. After all, the windy city didn’t get its name for the weather. So the historic 2019 mayoral election was a big deal to say the least. With a record-high pool of candidates, the vote ended in a runoff between Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle. For the first time in history Chicago would have a black female mayor and less than a week before that runoff election CBS would hold the final live televised debate between the two candidates. Strategically, we branded this live event/broadcast as ‘The Final Debate’ in order to create buzz.

The Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place Convention Center is the largest and longest running auto show in the nation. With over 1 million square feet of event space there is quite a lot to see. So every year CBS Chicago produces an auto show special to help viewers navigate the ins and outs. In 2019, the show was redesigned entirely by simplifying and modernizing the entire special design using concepts from past years as inspiration.
